Bluetooth Technology
What is Bluetooth and how do I connect my car with my phone
We're glad to help; just read the information and find an applicable video below.
Bluetooth technology uses short-range radio frequencies to wirelessly connect and exchange information between Bluetooth-enabled electronic devices such as mobile phones. This Subaru system combines the wireless Bluetooth calling with the convenience of touch screen controls. The Subaru Bluetooth Hands-free system connects to your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone -- automatically* and wirelessly -- allowing you to make and receive calls using control buttons on your steering wheel and navigation screen. You can even browse phone numbers uploaded from your mobile phone.
With Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the system "pairs" with compatible mobile phones allowing it to send & receive voice data and receive calls using the control buttons on your Subaru's steering wheel and navigation screen. A microphone in the vehicle picks up your voice, while your caller's voice is heard through the front speakers of the vehicle's audio system. These are the same instructional videos your Subaru salesperson is trained with, placed here to answer the question, "How do I pair my phone to my car if I have Bluetooth?"
